MARSTON APPOINTED MEMBER OF TSCPA STATE LEGISLATION COMMITTEE

The Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), announced that Chip Marston, founding member and CEO of The Marston Group, LLC, has again been appointed as a member of the TSCPA Legislation Committee for a one-year term beginning July 19, 2013. Marston has served on this committee since 2001.

The committee’s purpose is to monitor legislation impacting the CPA Profession and to recommend legislative strategy and policy regarding such legislation. Marston’s response to the appointment was to say, “It is an honor to serve alongside my peers throughout the state of Tennessee. This is an exciting and meaningful committee.”

TSCPA’s mission is to enhance the success of its members through service, support and advocacy. With a membership of more than 9,000 in industry, government, business, education and public accounting, and with more than 100 years of service to the accounting profession, TSCPA provides support on behalf of its members, enabling them to perform quality professional services while serving the public interest.

The Marston Group Helps Bench Bar and Boardroom Conference Go Green

May 8, 2013-- The Marston Group (TMG) was again a Bar Sponsor for the annual Bench Bar and Boardroom Conference held in Destin, Florida, May 8-11, 2013. This year, the four-day Continuing Legal Education conference went “green” with no printed conference materials. Instead, all information was provided on thumb drives purchased with sponsorship funds provided by The Marston Group.

TMG gives a shout out to MBA Vice-President, Kirk Caraway, husband of TMG Firm Administrator, Anne Caraway, and to Memphis Mayor A. C. Wharton who was speaker for the Thursday session, YLD Sunset CLE: Attorney’s & Politics.
